We are currently using V8i connected to a networked SQL server and wondered if its possible for me to install and test Promis.e Connect edition on the same PC for testing and run them both side by side? Would this cause any issues?
For ease, I would probably install a local database on the machine (SQL Express).

I can confirm that I have succesfully installed CE side by side with v8i SS8 on the same machine. They are both running on the same instance of SQL Server, but you have to separate databases themselves (CE and V8i have different DB schema and once upgraded to 10.x, you will not be able to use the DB in v8i).
