We are transitioning from V8i to CONNECT promis.e (10.04.00.22). We have a plugin for V8i that adds itself to the menu bar using the ECT.ECAD.API.Plugin interface.
It works fine in V8i. I converted the plugin to use the CONNECT libraries. The plugin loads without error, and plugin manager shows it as active.
I don't get the 'Plugins' menu, or my plugin. What to I need to change to be able to execute the plugin?
Thanks

Hi Gregory,Can you try using Plugin Manager by Browsing to Manage >> Utilities >> Plugin-Manager and check if the plugin you have designed is available in the Plugin Manager.Hope the above suggestion helps!

Satish,
As I said in my original question, the Plugin-Manager shows the plugin as 'Active'.
So, yes, it is available in the Plugin Manager. The question is how to get the plugin to run.
The original plugin for V8i was developed based on this wiki article: https://communities.bentley.com/products/electrical___instrumentation/w/electrical_and_instrumentation__wiki/3593/creating-promis-e-v8i-plug-ins
I was able to execute the plugin using the key-in: ecad custommenucmd <plugin name>
Now where's the help for creating a button/menu item for the key-in command?
Hi Gregory, you can follow general Microstation CONNECT customization articles to do it:
https://communities.bentley.com/products/microstation/w/microstation__wiki/39255/customizing-ribbons-and-tool-bars
https://envisioncad.com/microstation-connect-add-custom-tools-to-the-ribbon/
You can add any icon in Ribbon to execute any key-in.
