Hi,
I'm getting the following error:
Not sure what happened to cause this error. It appears every time I open or close a page. Single user issue only. Sometimes it may take 3-5 tries to open Promis*e (after splash screen, it just discontinues loading). Guessing it has something to do with the project manager tree and a corrupt file.
Looks like this worked for about 10 minutes and now I'm getting the error again. Any other ideas?
Hi MagEngineerAaron,Can you confirm which software are you using Promis.e / Substation ? Also you mentioned that it was working for 10 minutes, do you remember which command you were using before the issue reoccurred ?Kindly provide update on above question so that we can further look into your concern.Regards,Satish Saptasagar
Satish,
It's Promis*e over AutoCAD (older V8i Select Series 6). I repeated the renaming of the appdata folder. Promis*e starts fine, but upon opening any drawing from the project manager, this error is thrown again. I don't think it's a command or function, but rather something to do with the project manager explorer tree.
Hi MagEngineerAaron, The Version of Promis.e that you are using is currently not in Support. can you check if it is compatible with the current OS on which you are running ? Below is the compatibility chart.
As I'm aware, we are not meeting some of the requirements, and haven't for years. We run Promis*e over AutoCAD 2010 and Windows 10. We've had success still running in this platform for quite some time. This is just a new error produced on my single machine only. This error isn't really causing any operating issues, but it is a nuisance.
Note: I've confirmed this error is Promise only, not AutoCAD by its self. I've also done a complete uninstall and re-install of Promise on my machine. I still get this error.
Hi MagEngineerAaron,Like I had mentioned earlier this version of Promis.e CONNECT is currently not supported as it very old. We have more recent version of Promis.e CONNECT which are currently supported under select subscription. This issue might be resolved in Promis.e CONNECT. Hence I would suggest that you can try migrating to Promis.e CONNECT from existing to Promis.e V8i and check if you are facing the issue. Regards,Satish Saptasagar
