Hi,
I have some sheets from my client that has elements that locked by the old EED applications.
We have recently upgraded from V8i to CE, and the EEDGHOST.ma doesn't work in CE environment anymore.
Is there an updated version of EEDGHOST.ma available? Or is there other ways of removing the lock?
Thank you
Joseph Chao
Hi Joseph,

As far as I can see, support for Elementary Electrical Diagrams [EED] was stopped many years ago.

Few people are familiar with EED these days. Post a small example of a DGN file with one or two locked elements.

Hi Jan,
The wiki is for V8i, and uses the EEDGHOST.ma I've mentioned. CE environment doesn't allow the EEDGHOST.ma to run anymore.
Hi Jon,
I've attached an example of a dgn with locked elements eg 50V supplies.
SDE3982.dgn

When I attempt to modify one of those elements, I see this message in MicroStation's Message Center: The originating application (10000) has intentionally restricted changes to this element. This was done to maintain the element's design integrity. The originating application (10000) must be present to modify this element .
The app EEDGHOST made use of MicroStation's dependency engine to ensure that one could not edit stuff without the app. being present. Since the app is not available for CONNECT, nor ever likely to be, there's nothing you can do.
