Examples using the initial modes in promis.e

Hi Everyone

Can anyone redirect me to a website or pdf that explains when one would use the different initial modes in promis.e ?

Or mabe answer if what i have written is correct or not:

Schematic Mode            showing electrical circuits not in scale either due to geography or that the designed system is very complex and therefor to big to be placed on just one sheet? (yes/no)

Panel Layout Mode       used to show the different electrical komponents in true scale in a rack or cabinet? (yes/no)

Wiring Diagram Mode   used to show number and names of wires and relay. Not true to scale and somewhat looks like a schematic plan? (yes/no)

Hydraulic Mode             ?

Pneumatic Mode           ?

Single Line Mode          ?

Graphical Plan Mode    ?

3D Layout Mode           Mode that somehow show the electrical components and wires both in cabinets and outside in 3D? (yes/no)

Documentation Mode   ?

Construction Mode       ?

Track Layout Mode      Used to show where electrical components is placed along a set of train tracks? (yes/no?

Terminal Board Mode  ?

  • Hello Lennart,

Basically Drawing modes are used to represent different types of deliverables. Drawing modes allow for a different representation of a project to be displayed within a project. The software will actively link symbols together across multiple drawing modes. Also if the desired, symbol text can be shared from the different symbols across
    drawing modes.

It completely depends on the user which initial mode the user wants to select based on his requirement.

for example:- the representation of symbol graphics of transformer in single-line mode is different than the detailed representation of transformer in schematic mode.

wiring diagram:-used to showcase detailed cable arrangements(core to core connection) and wiring connection charts.

graphical plan mode:- is used to represent terminal block plan where the user will showcase a detailed connection chart/plan of TB with right and left side connections of TB.

documentation mode:- is used to show BOM or BOQ on the page or on the dgn file or page index list.

3D layout mode:- where user can place 3D symbols  ( mainly used in Openutilities substation software)

construction mode:- cross-sections/elevation drawings can be shown on this mode ( mainly used in Openutilities substation software)

hydraulic/pneumatic mode:-  only those commands will get activate which are related to hydraulic/pneumatic like draw pipe and other related placement components.

hope this above explanation helps you to understand what is the mode and its uses.
