I have a problem in some projects restored from v8i backups - with drawing wires. Similar issue was described here https://communities.bentley.com/products/utility_network_analysis___design/f/substation-promis-e-forum/194172/cannot-draw-a-wire-after-upgrading-promis-e-connect-from-u3-to-u4 and solved by changing regional settings in system - decimal Symbol change to dot ".".But now it happened again, unfortunately only with some projects and only sometimes.
The video describing issue is there: https://sr1pl-my.sharepoint.com/:f:/g/personal/wojciech_michalski_sr1_pl/Eqcyxe-x0D9InS1H6xxB9soBW039BHnDRebV52S6MGEkWA?e=dAersw
When you draw wires, they disappear. But in fact wires ARE drawn, but in the other place inside DGN and the size of lines are scaled by x10 000. Sometimes after the issue happens, error message is generated (LastError.txt in link above) but not always.
On the same drawing, ordinary lines are drawn correctly. Anyone has similiar issue? I'm also not suer if it's connected directly with restoring v8i projects. I guess it is also somehow connected to regional settings.
When Polish regional settings (Windows) are used, the Active Scale is set to 1,00000 with comma - even if decimal symbol is dot. An then the issue happen.
What is strange, with Polish regional settings scale issue happens sometimes. Even with the same drawings in the same project - one time is scale with comma (issue happens), one time is scale with dot (issue don't happen).
But when regional settings is set to English (US), the Active Scale is set to 1.00000 with dot - always (tested several times).
- and in that case the issue don't happen.
promis.e CONNECT Update 5.

I have the same problemWire setting toggles after page changefor example when using the navigation function
Hi Sergey,
which regional settings do you use? Could you make a test (change whole regional settings to English (US) ) and check, if it helps?
That's not a workaround that can be used, as it affects a lot of other apps used in daily basis like Excel, but at least it will show where the problem is.

Hi Wojtek / Sergey,
The software has a bug regarding this regional setting. I will let you know the bug number when this will going to fix.
Regards,
Avanti Khandalkar
OK, please let me know the bug number for tracking purposes. As it's very serious bug, which affects probably most non-English users, it should be marked with highest priority.
I completely agree with @Wojtekm, its almost a show stopper for some users?
It's slightly disappointing Bentley are practically forcing users to switch to the connect edition this December with the software still relatively in the infancy stage
Exactly. That's known issue as Avanti stated. It seemed that changing decimal symbol to dot helps, so after playing around with CONNECT for few months I have started a new commercial project in CONNECT. I have found it quite stable and then - big surprise. I had to redraw few drawings v8i (luckily, it happened in the beginning of the project, so I wasted "only" few days).
We're payed for projects we make, not for being Bentley's beta testers.
I don't understand it - while some great new features was introduced (like Work Orders) and I have to agree that a lot of work has been done, being on Update 5 we still lack basic stability and we're being surprised with that kind of issues. Do we have to wait until update 14, like in Microstation CONNECT?
Regarding forcing us to switch to CONNECT - it's not only disappointing, it's inadmissible if the software is still that buggy.
