Hello, my promise connect edition was recently updated and now my print style definitions are all lost.
Can you tell me where this file is located?
Ideally I would like to copy and paste the definition file from another user to my machine to have the same print style definitions.
Thank you .
Hi Steve,The Print Styles are usually stored in the Particular DGN if you are referring to the Print Style in the below dialog. If you are looking for the Print Definition file which usually contains details of the Printer Driver, Page Size, Scale and other settings. These setting by default are located in location "C:\Program Files\Bentley\Promise CONNECT Edition\Promise\Default\pltcfg". Hope This Helps! Thanks & Regards,Satish Saptasagar
Hi Satish,
Thank you for this!
I notice there's a few different .pltcfg files. is it a case where one controls the appearance of just .pdf's and another one controlls the regular physical printer copies?
Hi Steve,All the .pltcfg files are for different purpose. Like there is one of PDF, another for plotting to Printer, to Jpeg Image file etc.You can create/modify Print Definition by selecting File >> Print>> Print and then modify the details in the Print Dialog according to your requirement.
Save the Print Definition by selecting File >> Save Print Definition file. Thanks & Regards Satish Saptasagar
Hi again Satish,
another question, our schematics are on a "D" size sheet but there's a couple of the pages that are NOT at 1:1 scale.
So with different scales is there a way to within the .pltcfg file have it automaticaly adjust the scale of each page so that it would
for instance on a .pdf plot to extents, in other words scale a page up or down to fill the B size sheet of paper that it's being printed out to?
Also, when I modify a .pltcfg file it saves it as a different file name. So how is it adjusting the print file output to be what I want?
