After deleting the program ProjectWise, Substation is not functioning any more. So, I deleted the program and re-installed it, but without success.
It does not even give a warning or an error code, just closes down.
The only "message" I get is "Please wait while loading..." And then it stops.
From the Log file (Bentley Licensing Tool), I can see that the program is trying to open SQLite instead of Access. Perhaps this could cause the problem.
Note that Substation worked fine, until I decided not to use Project Wise Explorer. When I deleted this, I could not open Substation any more.
I was not able to use ProjectWise Explorer because of lack of a server and a database. I thus removed PW.
I also made the change as indicated in the 2nd method, but this did not change anything.
Perhaps I have to install PW again...
Hi Gert,Try to install PW again and it might help in making Substation work. Also after installing try uninstalling again to check if there is are any issues occurring due to uninstall. Also can you confirm the version of Substation and PW Explorer that you are using?
Normally the latest versions are installed.
After installation of PW, the same, the program asks for the database,
pushing cancel, and then "Please wait while loading, ..." and then nothing.
Are you using Local Projects and Workspace or are the present on the network location?
I only work on local projects and workspaces.
Hello Gert,Can you try to perform Restore Platform Defaults on your machine and check if it works? You can follow the below Wiki Link for steps.
Hello Satish,
I don't know how, but, the program works now. I installed Microstation because I had to continue working. And then, after 2 days I tried again, and Substation opened...
The only thing now, since I deleted everything, is that I need to create my symbols again. I did save the databases on another location and was able to load them, but it seems that only my cables were transferred and not the symbols I created.
Thanks for your support.
By the way, I also created a service number for this problem.
Kind regards,Gert Rubbrecht
Hello Gert,Glad to know that the issue was resolved. For the issue with Symbols, since you have mentioned that you can see some of the Cable Symbols and not other symbols. Can you confirm if all the Catalogs were on the same location? Can you try searching the folder directory if you can find the Catalog folders and the symbols in there and then compare it to your Catalog Manager details? Thanks & Regards Satish Saptasagar
