We recently created an intelligent PDF through Project Publisher.
I have ticked the Navigation box but upon creation I have noticed that the blue navigation boxes are a fair way off the device. How does the software designate the location of the navigation box? Is this a setting within the symbol?
Manufacture PDF's that we receive, only have navigation when you click on the wire link. It navigates you to your destination where it puts a box around the subject device? Can this be done in Bentley software?
Any help would be appreciated.
HI, i generally tend to leave the navigation box unticked, and then the boxes aren't displayed, as they're unsightly and obscure the drawing if a schematic or circuit diagram is complicated , but then you have to hover around with your mouse cursor to pickup the navigation link.i'd welcome a bentley tweak to bring the navigation inline with the cross page reference text etc.
Hi Jessica, Can you upload the backup of the project on the below link so that I can investigate the issue? https://bentley.sharefile.com/r-r5acf3bf8303549dc86850b8fcc7e24afThanks & RegardsSatish Saptasagar
satish, this also happens on every project i've ever tried using the project publisher
Hi Jessica, The Navigation Box is located around the Cross Reference Text of the symbol. If a symbol does not have Cross Reference Text then its added where the Device Id of the symbol is usually located.

To get Navigation for Wire Links only, in Project Publisher you can check "Connection" and uncheck rest under Formats as in below screen shot. For the Box that is put, can you show a sample screen shot? Also was this Manufacture PDF generated using Promis.e / OpenUtilities Substation?Hope this helps! Thanks & RegardsSatish Saptasagar
Thanks for your input, Jason. Hopefully we can come to a solution.
