We recently created an intelligent PDF through Project Publisher.
I have ticked the Navigation box but upon creation I have noticed that the blue navigation boxes are a fair way off the device. How does the software designate the location of the navigation box? Is this a setting within the symbol?
Manufacture PDF's that we receive, only have navigation when you click on the wire link. It navigates you to your destination where it puts a box around the subject device? Can this be done in Bentley software?
Any help would be appreciated.
Hi Jessica, The Navigation Box is located around the Cross Reference Text of the symbol. If a symbol does not have Cross Reference Text then its added where the Device Id of the symbol is usually located.

To get Navigation for Wire Links only, in Project Publisher you can check "Connection" and uncheck rest under Formats as in below screen shot. For the Box that is put, can you show a sample screen shot? Also was this Manufacture PDF generated using Promis.e / OpenUtilities Substation?Hope this helps! Thanks & RegardsSatish Saptasagar
Thanks Statish for your replies. I will have a look into the symbols and see if I can improve the location of the navigation box given your tips above. The setting option above regarding 'connections only' is helpful and I will be sure to have only it ticked moving forward to help simplify the print. I believe the manufactures drawings we are referring to are generated from other software. They look good though and are user friendly, something we are trying to work towards.
Hi Jessica, Glad to know that the suggestion were helpful! Is it possible for your to share a sample report on the below secure link so that we have an idea and can discuss further?
