Promis*e V8i rotating wire lables

I am using Promis*e V8i MicroStation PowerDraft.  I can not find how to rotate a wire lable.  I can move it around fine.  There is a rotate button on the pop up menu which does not work, is there one some where else?

  • Jared is referring to wire labels that we placed in a legacy version of Promis-e (Aero, to be precise).  I cannot find any way to modify these labels at all- to include deleting, changing, rotating, etc.  Are any of these possible?

     Thanks...

  • Regardless of the version that the project was created in, if it has been migrated to V8i, it should be controlled by the V8i commands. In this case, both AERO and V8i worked essentially the saem....you should be able to just right click on the wire and use the delete, move, edit commands to change the wire number. But as John says- you can't rotate the text as it follows the wire's rotation.

If you are not able to edit the wires at all, then it sounds like there might be some corruption. You can try the manage>update page command, or the rebuild project database, or the validate page command. Be aware though the validate page command stops after the first error is found, so you would have to run it again and again until all the errors were found. If you still have problem or can't figure it out, you should start a service ticket and we will need a project backup attached so we can investigate it.
