Background

The PolyWire tool is for drawing wires that overlap without joining, unlike standard wires.  Polywires are often used where the middle segments overlap and the ends are fanned out.

Bends

The bends of polywires are "chamfered".  The chamfer cannot be removed or replaced with a fillet/radius.  The size, or dimensions, of the chamfer is determined by the active grid spacing.

Connections

Symbols cannot be inserted onto a polywire. Unlike standard wires, polywires will not break at the connection points when a symbol is inserted.  Place symbols first and draw the polywires to the connection points.

To start the PolyWire tool

* is used to denote a menu selection that is not necessary in some versions or platforms.
