Insertion points visible for Symbols On The Fly on exported DWG

      Product(s): Promis.e
      Version(s): through 08.11.13.57
      Environment: N/A
      Area: Reports_Output Features
      Subarea: N/A

    Problem Description

On DWG files resulting from exporting project pages, insertion point indicators on Symbols On The Fly are visible and cannot be turned off.

    Explanation

This behavior occurs when File > Export > DGN, DWG, DXF is used to create the DWG files.

    Steps to Resolve

    1. In Project Manager, select the pages to be exported
    2. Select Project Manager > File > Export To DWG
    3. Specify a destination folder in the "Export To" field
    4. Specify a DWG version
    5. Click OK

To export project pages to DXF format

    1. Use the above process to create DWG files.
    2. From the main pull down menus in Promis.e, select Utilities > Batch Converter.
    3. On the Batch Convert dialog, set Default Output Format to DXF.
    4. Click the tool bar button that has the tool tip "Add Files or Directories to Convert" on Batch Convert and add the DWG files created in step 3. All the DWG files selected should then be listed on the Batch Convert dialog.
    5. Confirm that the To column displays DXF for all the files. Note the Destination path.
    6. Click the button that has the tool tip "Process Batch Convert Job".
    7. Click the Convert button on the resulting dialog.
    8. Click the Done button when finished.
