    Error or Warning Message

    The following error message or similar appears when using PLC Generator and possibly other tools.

    An error occurred during local report processing.
    The definition of the report 'Main Report' is invalid.
    An unexpected error occurred in Report Processing.
    Could not load file or assembly 'Microsoft.ReportViewer.ProcessingObjectModel. Version=8.0.0.0, Culture=neutral. Public Token=b03f5f7f11d50a3a' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.

    Explanation

    "Microsoft.ReportViewer.ProcessingObjectModel" is part of Microsoft Report Viewer, which may be corrupt or was never installed.  "Version=8.0.0.0" corresponds to Microsoft Report Viewer 2005 SP1.

    How to Avoid

    Download and install Microsoft Report Viewer 2005 SP1
    http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=4016

    If a different Version is specified in the error message, a different version of Microsoft Report Viewer may be required to be installed.
