    Solution

This error results when trying to create a parts database path without a valid connection to a promis.e SQL project database. Establish a connection to a project database on the Project Database tab of the Setup dialog before attempting to create a parts database path. A valid project database connection is evidenced by receiving no error messages when clicking the Apply or OK buttons on the Setup dialog and by the ability to open and create projects and project pages.
