No files created with Export To DWG

    Product(s): Promis.e
    Version(s): 08.11.12.137
    Environment: N\A
    Area: Project Management
    Subarea: Project Manager

    Problem Description

After choosing the Export To path and DWG Version and clicking OK on the Export To DWG dialog, the dialog goes away but the files do not get created.

    Steps to Resolve

    1. Go to the Windows Control Panel > Programs and Features.
    2. Look for a program with a name beginning with "Bentley" and including "RealDWG". This program is used when DWG files are read or written to by promis.e Standalone.
For promis.e V8i SELECTseries 7 (08.11.12.137) there should be a Bentley V8i (SELECTseries 3) - Autodesk RealDWG 2014 item listed. This is normally installed automatically during promis.e installation.
    3. Ensure the correct version and no other version of RealDWG is installed (listed in Control Panel > Programs and Features). Consult the promis.e readme file for the correct RealDWG version.  Or look for the RealDWG installer (.msi) file in the BentleyDownloads folder to determine the appropriate version. For example:
      C:\BentleyDownloads\promise_08.11.12.137\RealDwg2014.msi

Uninstall any incorrect versions. It may be necessary to uninstall and reinstall the correct version. RealDWG can be installed using the installer file mentioned above.

One user was able to correct the problem by simply right clicking RealDWG in Control Panel > Programs and Features and selecting Repair.
