    Batch Convert project pages to DWG

    What is the best way to export my Substation project to DWG?

    Steps to Accomplish

    Note: Promis.e users should refer to the Export To DWG article first. Batch Converter can be useful for Promis.e users if access to more advanced options are required.

    Option 1 - Batch Converter

    1. CONNECT Edition: Select File ribbon tab > Tools > Batch Converter.


      V8i: From the main pull down menus select Utilities > Batch Converter.

            In Task bar, Click Task ->Output->Plot &Publish ->Batch Converter

         
    2. Click the button that has a tool tip of Add Files or Directories to Convert and add the DGN files for the desired project pages.

    3. Choose "DWG" for the Default Output Format.

    4. Check the settings in Edit > DWG Save Options.

    5. Select the files in the bottom pane and click Apply to Selection button.

    6. Click the button that has a tool tip of Process Batch Convert Job or select File > Process.

    Option 2 - Export individual pages

    1. Open a project page.
    2. CONNECT Edition: Select File ribbon tab > Export > Common File Types > DWG (*.dwg)
      V8i: From the main pull down menus select File > Export > DGN, DWG, DXF...


    3. Specify a file name, destination folder, and set Save as type to "Autodesk(R) DWG files(*.dwg)"

    4. Click Options to review Save As DWG/DXF Options, click OK.
    5. Click Save.
    6. Repeat for remaining pages.
