After selecting the Insert Substation Objects tool, expected parts are not listed on the resulting dialog for insertion.
There are various methods of filter the results on the dialog. Make sure the desired part numbers are not filtered out of the results.
In Bentley Substation CONNECT and V8i SELECTseries 8
In Bentley Substation V8i SELECTseries 7 and earlier
Values for Part_Type and other part number fields can be modified using Parts Database Manager. After modifying the records of part numbers used in the project, it may be necessary to update the project with the new information. See Parts database changes not reflected in project.
Try clearing the Apply project filter check box in the Filters pane. If the desired parts appear, consider modifying the project filter (Options > Project Options > Part Number Settings > General > Edit Filter).
Try clearing the Only parts with symbol for current drawing mode check box in the Filters pane. If the desired parts appear, symbols can be assigned to the 3D_Layout_Symbol field of part number records using the Parts Database Manager.
Custom, word-based filters can be created in the Filters pane. Try deleting or modifying filters found here.
Try selecting the "All Parts" item in the Part Tree pane. If the desired parts are visible with "All Parts" selected but not when a sub-category is selected, the part number record(s) can be modified using Parts Database Manager so the part number fits the desired category. The part number fields used to categorize the Part Tree are specified in Options > System Options > Part Number Settings.
