The Configure button on Setup > ProjectWise is grayed out, preventing the ProjectWise datasource from being configured.
For the Configure button to be available, the Enable ProjectWise integration check box on Setup > ProjectWise must be set and the ProjectWise integration module (a customization for ProjectWise Explorer) must be installed. Note that ProjectWise Explorer must be installed before the integration module can be installed.
The software checks the following location in the registry for certain keys/values to detect whether the ProjectWise Integration Module is installed for ProjectWise Explorer V8i.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Bentley\ProjectWise\8.11\CustomModules\PromisePwCustomization\
It checks the following location to detect whether the ProjectWise Integration Module is installed for ProjectWise Explorer CONNECT Edition.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Bentley\ProjectWise\10.00\CustomModules\PromisePwCustomization\
In some versions it checks this location even if ProjectWise Explorer CONNECT Edition is no longer installed and ProjectWise Explorer V8i is now installed.
ProjectWise Administrator must also be installed to configure the datasource, but the Configure button will still be available if it is not installed (and all the other requirements are met).
Install a version of ProjectWise Explorer and ProjectWise Administrator that is compatible with Proms.e or compatible with Bentley Substation as the case may be.
Install the ProjectWise custom module for ProjectWise Explorer. If the module is already installed, uninstall it and install it again.
If that does not help and ProjectWise Explorer V8i is installed, uninstall the ProjectWise integration module, remove the following key from the registry, then install the ProjectWise integration module.
