Background

The Construction Drawings Manager is used to assign construction drawings to part numbers. This makes it easy to add construction drawings to a project using the Construction Drawings Project Import Tool. The source construction drawings are project pages, typically from a project dedicated to containing construction drawings. To create construction drawing project pages from manufacturer drawings, see the Inserting Drawings and Inserting Raster Images articles.

When a construction drawing is assigned to a part number, this relationship is stored in the SL_ConstructionDrawings table in the project database.

To open Construction Drawings Manager

CONNECT Edition

• With the Electrical Workflow active
  • Select Manage ribbon tab > Project Data group > Construction Drawing Manager
  • Function key shortcut: F2 > M > PN
    • If the 2D Design ribbon tab is already the active tab: F3 > PN
• Press F4 to place focus on the Search box, then type Construction Drawing Manager

• From the Tasks area, select Manage > Drawing Management > Manage Construction Drawings
