When Device in a Field is surrounded by another Field ( Nested Fields) adopt the Installation Location of the Outer Field.
This is intentional behavior. If a field is drawn to surround an existing field on a schematic page, the devices in the inner field will adopt the Installation and Location of the outer field if the "Rename existing symbols to the Inst./Loc. of the field" check box is set on the Field Parameters dialog when the outer field is drawn. The key is the order in which the fields are drawn. The last field "wins".Inner fields do not "protect" devices from the renaming process initiated by the creation of an outer field. This is to avoid performance issues caused by the potential for many layers of nested fields and large amounts of affected devices.
Below are some of the alternatives that the users can use.Options 1: Create the outer field first and then the inner field. More specifically, the last operation should be to insert the field to which you want the symbols to belong.Options 2: Choose not to "rename existing symbols" when drawing the outer field last. Then, to make the Installation and Location of the outer field apply to some symbols, set "Adjust device ID when the symbol(s) is moved" on Options > Project Options > Display Formats, move the desired symbols, then move them back.
Options 3: Choose "rename existing symbols" when drawing the outer field last. Then move the inner field away and back again to rename the devices in the inner field with the Installation and Location of the inner field.Option 4: Draw Field by Shape method to include only the symbol that needs to get a new Installation Location. You can follow the steps in below Wiki Link example.
