How to update device tags to fit the "Schematic (PLC wired device ID)" and "Schematic (PLC wired Terminal ID)" display formats specified in Options > Project Options.

Steps to Accomplish

1. After wiring the devices and terminal blocks to the PLC symbol(s), select  Electrical > Replace > Replace Device ID.

2. Clear the Device Tag check box.

3. Set the Apply Schematic (PLC wired device ID) format option and/or the Apply Schematic (PLC wired Terminal ID) format checkboxes.
   
   

4. Set the Search scope appropriately.

5. Select OK.

6. Select OK on the "This will renumber all IDs, are you sure you want to do this?" prompt box.

In recent versions of the software, there is also a Replace Terminal Number with PLC Address check box on the Replace Device ID dialog.
