Error or Warning Message

Unable to restore project because the project's database version is newer than your current database version.

Explanation

If you try to restore a project backup that was created in a newer version of the software than you are currently using, you will get a message similar to the one shown.

How to Avoid 

In order to restore and use the project you must have the same or newer version of the software that was used to create the backup.  Refer to the following articles to correlate the database versions given on the error message to the software versions.
