    Program data folder - Promis.e

      Product(s): Promis.e
      Version(s): through 08.11.13.96
      Environment: N/A
      Area: Installation_Configuration
      Subarea: N/A

    Background

The program data folder contains program related files that require permissions beyond what many users have or what Windows allows for the Program folder.  These files include:

    • \Config\Ecad.dgn or \Config\EctEcad.dgn or \Config\Ecad.dwg
    • \Config\Setup.xml (The Setup.xml file used by the software may be in a different path, see Setup)
    • \Config\Device.mdb
    • \Config\ECADProject.mdb
    • Plug-in related files that must have write permissions by the user
    • \Menu\promiseV8i.dgnlib or \Menu\promis-e.cui

    This path cannot be altered.

This article does not imply compatibility with listed operating systems. Consult the Compatibility Chart for that information.

    Paths

    Promis.e V8i SELECTseries 8

    Windows 10, Windows 8.1, and Windows 7:
    C:\ProgramData\Bentley\Promise V8i

Substitute "(A)" for "(M)" in the following paths if using promis.e for AutoCAD.

    promis.e V8i SELECTseries 3 through 7

Windows 8.1, Windows 7, and Windows Vista:
    C:\ProgramData\Bentley\promis-e V8i(M)

    Windows XP:
    C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Bentley\promis-e V8i(M)

    promis.e V8i through SELECTseries 2 and promis.e 2007 v3.0

Path is the same as the Program folder path.  Files listed above will be in this path and not in a Config subfolder.
