    How to Replace Symbol in OpenUtilities Substation

    Background:

    The Replace Symbol tool allows a symbol to be replaced with another symbol for specific selected Symbols on a page,  Symbols on the current page, or the entire project.  The symbol can also be replaced with itself as a means of refreshing it with the most recent version in the catalog.

    Steps to Accomplish

    1. Open any Project Page in Substation and go to Replace >> select Replace Symbol.



    2. In Replace Symbol dialog select Search for the symbols if you need to replace symbols in a specific Page or Current Page or entire Project.
    Note: This step needs to be skipped to Step 4 if a specifically selected symbol/s in a page needs to be replaced. 



    3. If you need to replace a specific Symbol on the page then check Select Symbol >> Select >> select the symbol that needs to be replaced. 




    4. Next specify the Symbol that needs to be replaced by entering the name in "Enter Symbol Name". 


    5. Specify the Symbol that will replace the existing symbol "Replace With" specify the symbol settings that need to be maintained.
