    How to link a symbol to a Duplicate Device using Engineering Design Consideration

    Background:

    Users might need to place Duplicate Device. In a Project, there can be multiple Duplicate Devices with the same Device Id. This Wiki Article focuses on how to link a symbol to a Duplicate Device Id.

    Steps to Accomplish

    1. Select and place the symbol that needs to be linked with a Duplicated Device.




    2. In the Engineering Design Consideration dialog that Pops Up select No to associate the Symbol with a specific Duplicate Device.


    3. In the Duplicate Devices Dialog select the Device for which you need to place the Duplicate Device and click Ok. In the below image device with Sub Id 2 has been selected as an example.
