How to Merge a Reference drawing into OpenUtilities Substation

      Product(s): OpenUtilities Substation CONNECT Edition
      Version(s): 10.11.XX.XX
      Environment:  NA
      Area:  Power Platform Support
      Subarea:  NA

    Background:

In the latest version of OpenUtilities Substation for a Reference the Device ID, Wire Link ID, Wire Number, and Terminal Number Paste Options are now available when using the “Merge Into Master” function. Merge Into Master function is an existing tool from Attaching Reference which will merge (copy) all elements, except Substation Title Block elements, into the active file/project page.

    Steps to Accomplish

    1. In Substation select Reference >> Tools >> Attach.

    2. Select the Substation drawing that needs to be referenced and select Open. Then select Ok in the Reference Attach Properties Dialog.
Note: If the drawing is already referenced skip this step and go to the next step.

    3. In the Reference dialog right-click on the referenced drawing that needs to be Merged and select Merge Into Master. Now place a data point on the drawing to select the view by doing a Left Click on the drawing.

    4. Now an Alert message will pop up saying “You have selected 1 Reference To Merge Into the Current Drawing” and select Ok on the alert message.

    5. A Paste Options dialog will Pop Up where you can select if you would like to Maintain Device Id, Wire Link, Wire Number, and Terminal Number and you can select the options appropriately according to the requirement and select Ok..
