Opening Pages slow for some of the pages due to Pending Changes in the Database - Promis.e CONNECT

      Product(s): Promis.e CONNECT Edition
      Version(s):  10.00.XX.XX to 10.09.XX.XX
      Environment:  NA
      Area:  Project Management
      Subarea:  NA

    Background:

Sometimes users observe that opening pages in Promis.e might be slow or take more time than other normal pages. There are various factors that might be affecting this in many cases might be due to the Pending Changes that present for the page/s that get updated when the Page is opened. Due to the pages getting updated with the pending details there might be a delay in the opening of pages depending on the number of changes that page needs to be updated with.

Pending changes are the changes in the database that have not yet been updated on the drawing.

How to Check Pending Changes for a Project

To check whether a Project has any pages with Pending Changes select the "See Pending Changes Status" button in the Project Manager as seen in the below image. The Page with Pending Change Status will have a Barrel symbol against it.

    Steps to Accomplish

There are two methods that can be used for this updating the Pending Changes.

    1. Update Page Method:

This method is more suitable for projects with a few Pages with Pending Changes Status or needs to update only a particular page.

Steps: Here the user can select any Page that has Pending Change Status >> Right Click and select Update Page.

    2. Refresh Project Drawing Method

This Method is for projects that have many Pages with Pending Changes Status and the user needs to update all such pages at a time.

    Steps:

    1. Select the Project in the Project Manager for which all the pages need to be updated for pending changes >> Right Click and select Refresh Project Drawings..

    2. Select Start in the Update Pages with Pending Changes Dialog.
