    Required Classification Types

    Classification Types used by the application to determine behaviour of features and attributes. See Classification Types for the sheet description.

    Name

    Parent

    Use

    Electric

    Feature Commodity Type

    Used by JDA to determine which features are displayed under the Electric folder in the tree view. Only top-level parents need be classified, as children will automatically be displayed.

    Gas

    Feature Commodity Type

    Used by JDA to determine which features are displayed under the Gas folder in the tree view. Only top-level parents need be classified, as children will automatically be displayed.

    Life Cycle Status

     

    Used extensively by DA, for unit assignments, replace operations, deletions, and completions, among others. The Status attribute of each feature (and the global Status feature attribute) should be given this classification.

    Tappable Feature

     

    Used by DA to determine which features can be “tapped” from when placing trails.

    End Point

     

    Used by DA to determine if a tappable feature should be tapped from its closest end point when selected for a “Nearest Feature” type path. Point type feature should be classified as End Point. C.f. Any Point.

    Any Point

     

    Used by DA to determine if a tappable feature should be tapped from its closest point when selected for a “Nearest Feature” type path. C.f. End Point.

    HasStructures

     

    Used by DA. Features which are attached to a structure should be classified as HasStructures.

    OHConductor

     

    Used by DA for “Mid Span Tap” type paths. Overhead conductors should be classified as OHConductor.

    UGConductor

     

    Used by DA for “Mid Span Tap” type paths. Underground conductors should be classified as UGConductor.
