Background:

When creating new Project Page the users may come across the below Alert Message in ProjectWise Managed WorkSpace environment. Below are the reasons for the occurrence. 

Reason 1:

There might be a DGN file in the Project Folder with the same file name as the new page file name being created. 

Reason 2:

The Project might have the option to save the Pages in Drawing Set Subfolder and the user might not have a "Create Folder Permission" 

Steps to Resolve: 

Reason 1: DGN in Project Folder 

1. In ProjectWise Explorer browse to the location of the Project Folder. 

2. Then find the DGN with similar name and remove / delete it from the Project Folder. 

Note: If the DGN is deleted all the information contained in it will be lost. If the DGN was at some point a intelligent Substation Project Page then to try retrieve the original information the user can use the Import Drawing feature. Below is the Wiki Link for the steps on Import Drawings. 

Reason 2: Create Folder Permission

Note: This Step is usually for ProjectWise Administrators as they will need to assign the below folder permission in ProjectWise Explorer.

1. Open ProjectWise Administrator and login into the Data Source in which the users projects are saved. 

2. Select Users >> select and right click on the user name to which the permission needs to be added >> Properties.




3. Select Setting tab >> Folder >> check the "Can Create" option >> Apply & Ok.
