Update 6 - Oracle Spatial Storage Enhancements

    Saving of Multiline Elements

The saving of multiline elements can be controlled via the STORINGTYPE column of the N_OG_SETTINGS table:

    • By default, Multilines are stored as Oracle SDOType Polygon (2003) (value = 0 or null in the STORINGTYPE column).
    • If the graphic of the object type is to be stored as Oracle SDOType Multiline (2006), the STORINGTYPE column must contain the value 2.
    • If the graphic of the object type should only allow the centerline of a multiline in the Oracle Spatial storage, the STORINGTYPE column must contain the value 3.
    • The appropriate value can be entered with a corresponding SQL update command.

Proper saving of Element Style (symbology) Information

Some users reported that when storing sisNET objects in Oracle Spatial, the style (symbology) information is not always correct. E.g., the color stored in Oracle Spatial is not the color of the sisNET object geometry. The style information (e.g., color) of a sisNET object, saved in Oracle Spatial, depends on the settings (e.g., the attached color table) of the active DGN file during the Oracle Spatial saving. This is usually the job DGN file.

However, if the initial filling of an object is started manually, this can also be a different currently loaded DGN file. It is important to ensure that that DGN file has the same settings as the job DGN file, e.g., the same color table. Otherwise, the styles may be saved differently, since color values are saved as RGB.
