Searching, downloading and installing sisNET Products from Software Downloads

What if Update 6 or 7 are not displayed under Software Downloads?

After CE Update 5, the OpenUtilities sisNET product is managed with a new ProductID (3172). As a result, entering the names of the old sisNET products (sisNET Multi, Electric, Gas, Heat, Water or Wastewater) in Software Downloads will not take you to the latest update, but to Update 5, the latest release with the old ProductIDs and names. See the screenshot below with 10.16.05.09 as the latest version displayed:

Solution: If you enter one of the values "sisNET", "sisFLOW", "sisVIEW" or "sisIMS" in the search field, you will be redirected to the latest CE version. Note that one of the old product names may still be stored in the cache of your search page on Software Downloads. We recommend checking to see if this can still be cleaned up.

Note: Clicking the "Clear" button (marked in blue text below) will remove the settings in the Generation, Version, Language, Architecture, Deliverable Type, and Subscription Entitlement fields and display all available versions. Note that old sisNET versions can be archived by the sisNET team and are then no longer available under Software Downloads.

Searching for sisFLOW, sisVIEW and sisIMS

The Bentley Software Downloads website only shows "Bentley OpenUtilities sisNET CONNECT Edition x64 (SES)". Where can I find the other products sisFLOW, sisVIEW and sisIMS?

Answer: The procedure is as follows:

1. Download the software
2. Run the executable installation program
3. Accept the license agreement
4. Select the Configuration option in the upper right corner
5. Check / update the configuration options and select Next
6. Check / update the sisNET project data location and select Next
7. Select the desired options. Here you can choose from the various product options and add-ons.

Note: after installation of the software, the administrator MUST set the appropriate ProductIDs.

Distributable deployment image

To avoid having to reload and adjust the setup again and again, the adjusted configuration with the required data can be downloaded as a deployment image - the shortcuts and add-ons selected for this type of installation cannot be changed afterwards.

Side-by-side error message at start-up after installation of sisNET CE Update 7

After installing the latest sisNET 10.17.07.17 (Update 7), in rare cases a side-by-side configuration error message may occur at start-up:

To eliminate this message, download and install the vcredist_x86 package 2005 from the Microsoft download page:

In the next release of sisNET this workaround will no longer be needed.

Serverfehler in der Anwendung /sisimsce

in rare cases, the following error message may occur during start-up after the installation of sisIMS 10.17.07.17 (Update 7) IIS-Components:

Fix:
This file is located in the following directory:
c:\Bentley\sisIMS\web_appl\bin\Bentley.Geospatial.SpatialReferenceSystems.MicroStationGCS.dll
Please change the extension of the file to: Bentley.Geospatial.SpatialReferenceSystems.MicroStationGCS._dll

In the next release of sisNET this workaround will no longer be needed.
