    V8i Licensing - Replacing a workstation

A check-out license is considered to be in use 100% of the time on the machine to which it has been checked out. If the machine is defect, chances are that the usage will be considered to have continued until the moment the license is checked in again. Which can be a long time. In such cases it is best to submit a service request a.s.a.p.

In case of a node-lock license: you will have to replace the node-lock license(s) tied to the old machine with new ones for the new machine. Contact your account manager. If you don’t have an account manager assigned, submit a service ticket.
