Background:

Usually for general Part Number the user can use the Insert Balloon command to insert balloon callouts that are associated with the symbol. But in case of Custom Part Number the Part is not associated to any symbol on the drawing, hence due to this reason the user cannot use the Insert Balloon command under the Section Cuts ribbon to insert the Balloon Callouts. The Section Cuts >> Insert Balloon tool can only be used to place Balloons Callouts for symbols on drawings that are associated to Part Numbers. 

In this article we will understand how to Insert Balloon Callouts for Custom Part Number which are not associated to any symbols in the drawings.

Steps to Accomplish

1. Open the Construction Drawing Page where the Balloon for Custom part Number needs to be placed. 


2.  Click Manage >> BOM Manager >> Browse to the Custom Part Number by selecting the required Work Order then BOM Document and Revision number.





3. Click the check box on the Custom Part Number >> click on Insert Balloon in the BOM Manager dialog >> select the Balloon Type Place Balloon Dialog >>Give a Data Point on the Drawing where the Balloon Needs to be inserted.
