Background:

The User / Admin when deploying OpenUtilities Substation observe that if there is already a previous CONNECT version installed they get message if they need to Backup the Default WorkSpace as seen in below screen shot. This message can cause issues with Silent Installation of OpenUtilities Substation (OUS). This Wiki Article will help users bypass this message when doing a silent installation. 

Steps to Accomplish

1. To create Installation Package create a Deployment Image of OUS. Refer the below Wiki Link for steps. 

2. Once the Deployment Image is created go to the location "C:\BentleyDownloads\OpenUtilities Substation CONNECT Edition" and find the file with the extension as *.lyt and open it in Notepad or Notepad++. 




3. Go to the line that starts with <Feature Id="BackupDefaultWorkspace". Then change value "Selected = Yes" to "No" and "Optional = no" value to "yes" as seen in the below screen shot.  







4. Now use these Deployment image setup file for creating Silent Installation Deployment Package.
