Background

Catalog Manager is used to categorize, rename, delete, and copy symbols, macros, device families, and title blocks.  It can also export and import catalogs as a means of backup or for transferring to another user.

Using the Thumbnail view, Catalog Manager is a good tool for finding a symbol or macro when it can be recognized visually but the name is not known.

To open Catalog Manager

CONNECT

• In the Electrical Workflow, select 2D Design > Components > Catalog Manager or  
  
  
  
  
• Panel Design > Components > Catalog Manager or  
  
  
• Manage >  Catalog Manager

• From the Tasks or ribbon area, select Design > *Components > Catalog Manager or
