I just installed and activated promis.e V8i, and although we own the Professional edition (or Enterprise), the License Management Tool only shows "promis.e Standard" to be activated.
This is not necessarily a problem. promis.e V8i only uses a Standard license to start the software. It does not check for or activate a Professional license until a Professional-level feature, such as Cable Manager, is used. Similarly, an Enterprise license will only be activated when an Enterprise-level feature, such as Run Shortest Distance, is used.
When a higher level feature is used for the first time, the user will be prompted to activate the corresponding license. When the Product Activation Wizard is finished, "promis.e Professional" or "promis.e Enterprise" should appear with a Status of "Activated".
The ultimate test is whether or not the Professional features are accessible.
