LumenRT - development?

As I seem to be the first visitor to this group since it was removed from the Visualization group - have to ask; does LumenRT have a future? There have been no updates for a very long time.

  • There is recently released LumenRT Update 17 released:

    What's new in update 17.0:

    New Features:

    • Bing Maps for ground plane
    • New tree library optimized for Ray Traced operation
    • Ray Tracing rendering enhancements

    What's new in update 16.0:

    New Features:

    • Enhanced ray-trace rendering (requires NVIDIA RTX graphics card)
    • Camera Sync - sync two LumenRT instances together
    • Camera path import and export
    • Enhanced Synchro 4D animation capabilities
    • Enhanced iModel import

Tried the Bing maps it somehow works but not all coordinate systems from DGN are supported. Spline populate crashes LumenRT and in some other cases. Lack of materials and object. Overall I do not see any future of this product and it doesn't seem to be production ready. As unstable as last tried it in 2018.

Seems future is for using ready solution from Nvidia RTX( LumenRT for NVIDIA Omniverse Forum ) and not trying to maintain own outdated 3D engine.
