Frequently Asked Questions

LumenRT Connect Edition - FAQ

Is it possible to remove the Microsoft Bing logo from the scene after adding Bing maps?

  • There is no way to remove the Microsoft Bing logo from the scene since Bing Map is connected to the server and captures Microsoft Bing topography and location. The watermark appears on Microsoft Bing maps.

Silent Installation of LumenRT?

  • Here is the command to install LumenRT silently:  "Setup_LumenRTx64_16.17.59.026_Pro_english.exe" /S /v/qn

The Document Path variable is defined during installation. The document path of the current user is used by default. You can change the value through the configure option in the installer interface or by adding the variable LumenRTUserDocumentDirectory when launching the setup. For example:

    Setup_LumenRTx64_16.18.40.032_Pro_english.exe LumenRTUserDocumentDirectory="c:\sharedFolder"

  • User can also specify in silent command line installation:

LumenRTInstallDirectory : Where the software binaries will be installed. (default: C:\Program Files\Bentley\Bentley LumenRT CONNECT Edition)

LumenRTDocumentDirectory: Where the content will be installed. (default: C:\ProgramData\Bentley\Bentley LumenRT CONNECT Edition)

Getting error while exporting and in standalone mode: "Sorry, failed to load Data. File seems corrupted. The application will close. Please contact the support for further information." or "Load of C:\Program Files\Bentley\Bentley LumenRT CONNECT Edition\LumenRT\LumenRTStartupScene.Isc failed."

  • Make sure the LumenRT save scene folder is accessible by you. The folder has full admin rights (meaning you have full access).

The files are saved in the folder mentioned below where LumenRT saves them.

    C:\Users\XXXXX.XXXXX\OneDrive - Bentley Systems, Inc\Documents\Bentley\Bentley LumenRT CONNECT Edition\Scenes

Scenes are now saved in this path when saving LumenRT files. During installation, the location can be changed manually to a different folder path.

For verification that the document path has changed or the save scene has been relocated, you can look at the registry file that stores all LumenRT information. To access this: Navigate to the folder location mentioned below:

    C:\ProgramData\e-onsoftware > LumenRT.reg file

Open this file in Notepad or Notepad ++ . You need to check the Document Path.

This will confirm the file path and provide you with the LumenRT files location. Please check if you can access this path or not.

Your issue will be resolved once you are able to access this location.

[Note: This path can always be changed to any new location where the LumenRT scene should be saved.]
