This document describes Bentley's Software Support Policy corresponding to Microsoft's operating system cycles.

Notes:

  • The above applies to Bentley Desktop products.
  • Please refer to the respective product readme for specific details on operating systems (including Service Packs) that product release is certified and supported on.
  • Bentley does not support its software running on Microsoft operating systems versions that Microsoft has "retired."
  • Microsoft has already deprecated support for Windows XP. For more information on Microsoft's application retirement policy, click here
  • When Microsoft releases a new Windows operating system, Bentley will make every effort to support Bentley Products on it as soon as possible.

 

FAQ

Will I still be able to use my Bentley application if no support is offered?

Yes. Support status does not affect licensing status.

I am using a Bentley application that is not commercially released on my operating system. Can I get support?

Support is not provided for Bentley applications that are not commercially released. However, if the issue is not related to the operating system, support will be available.
