You'll find some tips here: RAMSS Truss Modeling And Design Note, for complex shaped trusses, RAM Structural System won't work. We recommend STAAD.pro or Ram Elements for those cases.

Modeling trusses in RAM SS is fairly limited. If you have a story for the top and a story for the bottom and model the verticals as columns you can get close. Here are some other tips and warnings: RAMSS Truss Modeling And Design
