Is there an official Plaxis reference or literature reference supporting the use of non zero cohesion and tensile strength (eg 1 kPa), to improve numerical calculation?

Hello everyone I wonder about the meaning of the Maccel value. I checked the Plaxis 2D reference manual and it says "The value of this parameter is always 0." Why it's always zero and what does it do? Thank you
