I am tryimg to explore the new parametric content creation potential of AecoSim Connect Edition. Is there an obvious part of the help. I see lots of stuff related to PC Studio. Is there a new better choice than that?
Hi William:
I believe there are some online videos (Youtube) that provide simple guidance on how to create content in PCStudio. You may want to take a look at the RFA Interpreter Wizard tool for parametric content:
Take a look at this forum link:

Hi Marc
Lots of thanks for the answer.
I'm sorry Marc but PCS is not a real option to create parametric elements and frame builder is ok but I think it has a lot of limitations maybe because there is no many documentation about it.
"It is worth exploring the currently available capabilities of the CONNECT Edition parametrics" Any example? Can we use it into the datagroup?
Is there any timing about this improvement? Next Update?
Lots of thanks
Borja
Hi Borja,
There is currently the option to select MicroStation parametric cells as a file type in the DataGroup, I'm looking for more information on what we can currently do with this ability.
The parametric capabilities of MicroStation are being improved incrementally as updates are released, so they are worth exploring.
Lots of thanks for the answer. Any news about this subject would be very, very, very interesting.
Lots of thanks again
Hi Marc,
My initial impression is that these new parametric cells are very promising and we did manage to link them and their parameters into the datagroup system with some success.
That said, however, these cells will only be useful in some specific situations as there does not appear to be any integration of 2d symbols or penetrators. Or am I missing something here?
Cheers,
Joey

Hi Joey,
Glad you have found the current capabilities useful. Some new parametric features were added in MicroStation CONNECT Update 5 that are also in ABD CONNECT.
We don't have 2D symbols or perforators for these cells yet, work is in progress but I can't offer any more news about what we will have or when at present.
