Hi everyone,
I am trying to import a tif file to an ORD file. But the program categorically refuses to do so?
I tried with files that have defined and undefined coordinates, 2D and 3D but nothing seems to work.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
PS I...

Hi Everyone,
I was hoping to understand how to break/insert gap/split 3D Linear Element Strings? See the attached

To me it seams quite obvious that users want to be able to manipulate elements manually and not have to rely on corridor tools and ruled elements all the time.

I am getting an error for "Punching Check not found in slab". I have deleted the circle after the column moved and added a new one centered on the new column location per past forums. Are there other ways that this error can present itself?

Remeshing did not change anything. The beam is 24" vs 18" slab. The model doesn't appear to be far from the global origin.

I uploaded the file into "Secure File Upload" under this forum thread.
It appears that the error is associated with meshing issues that are associated with alignment issues with the outside edge of the beam and the column shape. I can bypass the error by decreasing the mesh size to 2 ft, which is what I recommend as a work...
Read more. How can we get sum phase displacements results in local directions for embedded beam elements ? Results are only available for global directions.
Dear Khadija,
The sum of phase displacements for global axis has its equivalent for local axis called Local total displacements. You can find it under the Deformations menu for the structural elements you are inquiring.
Kind regards,

hello,
I would submit to support so that they can have a look if there is a bug or limitation regarding the size of the tif, or an issue with th etif itself.
I just tested with an old tif 3 millions points and it did work perfectly in few seconds.
