I also checked on same. I believe you have a valid point here. Normally on fittings placing support is not recommended. But in case of Bends with certain clamp length may be a case where supports are required.
We are checking the possibilities…

I tried placing it on Bend with tangent length but no luck so far. What version you are using here?
