The issue is that columns of source file (DesignRoute) are the curves. So to use the text import wizard you have to transform the data to have station, elevation, (slope), radius on a single line for each point.

Hi Stewart, I've never used Design Route but you can should be able to import the alignment using 'Text Import Wizard'. Save the spreadsheet containing the vertical alignment details as a .txt file. In BRT select File > Text Import Wizard . Select…

You must go to the reference dialog>Settings>Update Sequence. it is the display order: last displayed on top. You must put the design file at the bottom of the list. It also applies for raster. It also true for 2D models where you can manage also the…

Lengths are always measured as horizontal, when designing / annotating vertical geometry. This is the typical convention for road and rail projects. Regards, R. W. Bradshaw

For every 3 points there is some radius... unless its a straight line. If the points lay on straight line the radius is infinity.

It uses the circle equation for three consecutive points. The radius computed from this is presumed to be the one in the middle (second) point. Similar results you should get for the existing alignment (the one that gives the regression points) if you…
