    Do you have screenshots of the problem & what plot driver are you using? Re you printing directly to a printer or creating a pdf? Are you using the Rasterized option in the print dialog?

    Can you not find the command or are you saying the list of preferences is blank and doesn't include the saved list of preferences? To get to the project Options, you go to File > Project Options. Then you can go to Preferences. Is this what you have…

    Just a guess, have you changed the Element Selection tool to "Add" mode...you want "New" mode, see below image:
