The only way to go from SolidWorks to STAAD that I know of is via ISM and using an ISM Translator available from SolidAce ( www.solidace.com ), http://youtu.be/NOGKmJCedXw . But if you are trying to model solids I doubt you will get much across.

Is there a way to export a plate model from STAAD to AECOSIM? ISM 5.0 doesn't appear to be able to handle that.
