I have a similar problem in that some filled fonts do not plot correctly (TR 8000493285)
all tested fonts were Bentley fonts, Font 43 (Low res filled), Font 4 (font0004) and Font 2 (SchoolBook Vertical)

Colored Square in PDF prints
I'm making prints to PDF using the latest XM configuration. When the config files is set to enable the file/level optional content, the PDF will look correct in adobe pro 9, but will print with these big squares as shown in the attachment.
