Which specific notes are you updating in which this problem appears? I get the same behavior with both Single From Graphic and All.

The problems that I noted should only be in V8i. If you are having problems then you may want to contact support with your dataset.
Also, it may not fix your collision free text problem but you should upgrade to version 08.09.03…
Adding Sheet Number to Cross Section
I have been trying to have Inroads xm 8.9 to display sheet number in my cross section. I have tried with a border inserted as a cell and as reference. Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Custom Cross-Section Set
On the General leaf, enter a number larger than the span of your alignment for the interval. I sometimes just enter 1,000,000.
On the Controls> Critical Sections leaf, turn off all of the options that you do not want. See the help file for an explanation…

In version 08.09.01.45 Negative shoves all the annotation to the left of the initial point, Positive shoves it to the right, and Equal is supposed to array them out from the middle point. In 08.09.08.06 and 08.09.02.16 the "Equal" seems to be broken.…

Do you have 'Show Data Outside Elevation Range' toggled on the General leaf of the Create Cross Section dialog? If so, toggle that off.

I have an existing surface that contains a rocky cliff - is there a way to automatically trim that surface back to the extents of the grid?
